Uno de los miembros más interesantes de la Logia de Estudios Quatuor Coronati, Bernard Jones, venerable en 1960, y escritor de otros importantes libros sobre masonería, nos presenta un libro fundamental para todo masón. Agregaremos que el Hno. Jones fue miembro de la Orden por más de cincuenta años, y pasó muchos de ellos estudiando en los archivos del Museo y Biblioteca de la Gran Logia de Londres, donde gracias a sus investigaciones pudo gestar varias obras, entre ellas esta que reseñamos. El Hno. Heron Lepper que fue Bibliotecario y Curador del Freemasons' Hall de 1943 a 1952, prologa esta obra cuya primera edición data de 1950. La transcripción de su índice, creemos que puede dar cuenta de su contenido.

En esta obra ya "clásica" sobre el interesantísimo -y en cierto modo misterioso- tema del Royal Arch y la Royal Arch Masonry y su historia, Bernard Jones nos presenta también un compendio de Masonería en relación particularmente con el Antiguo Testamento. Esta edición ha sido revisada y puesta a punto por Harry Carr.

Basado en investigaciones previas, entre ellas el libro anteriormente comentado, los autores han llevado a cabo sus propias investigaciones en la biblioteca de la Gran Logia de Londres y en la Biblioteca de la Logia Quatuor Coronati. El resultado es esta prolija guía que trata los puntos principales del Royal Arch. 

Sobre este tema fundamental del Royal Arch recomendamos también dos trabajos sencillos pero que sintetizan muchos de los aspectos que tocan a esta Masonería: Royal Arch Matters, Lewis Masonic, Shepperton, Inglaterra 1984, y Some Royal Archs Terms Examinated, íd 1988, ambos de Roy A. Wells. Deben señalarse las ilustraciones curiosas y originales.
